Bring Santa Home! Help fix his sleigh!
Donation protected
On the night of December 14th, a 3ft tall Santa vanished from the dart room of the Strawberry Hall pub in Chapelizod. Assuming Santa Clause had been stolen, the pub put out an appeal to #BringBackSanta! The next day, a mysterious Instagram account @Strawberryhall_Santa appeared and sent the pub a message, "I’m off on an adventure, I’ll be back soon stop [email redacted]l.'
The account has documented Santa's adventures around Dublin ahead of the big show on Christmas Eve! But now, due to an unexpected turn of events, Santa's sleigh has become damaged and he needs €5,000 to fix it! Please donate what you can to help Santa make it back to the Strawberry Hall by 6pm on December 24th!
100% of the money fundraised will go towards the Developmental Education Centre, Daughter's of Charity Disability Support Services, St. Vincent's Centre on the Navan Road. The DEC is a specialist school aged service for local children from 5 to 18 years of age with severe/profound Intellectual Disabilities and life limiting conditions. Funds raised will go towards their current garden project. The aim of the project is to redevelop the space into a more accessible area for the children they support. A new garden will afford each child the opportunity to participate in creative play, gardening and out-door physio and sensory sessions.
There are no hidden fees and all funds will be used specifically for this project. Santa strives to ensure the happiness of all children at Christmas, it's important for our community to pull together and help those who need it most!
The DEC Garden Project
The children can only access the patio area outside their class room as there is grass separating each area
The patio area is not a creative and inviting space
Garden fence has been painted bright colours so it won’t look too drab however it is now rotting and needs to be replaced.
The paint on the outside of the building is colourless and washed-out. To have this painted would make the space more inviting
Equipment takes up space in a narrow hallway. This hallway is used by children doing their walking exercises. The proposed garden area will provide a new space for physio.
