EMERGENCY fundraiser to get family to Sheila

UPDATE: Sheila will not be making it back to AK. PLEASE HELP GET HER FAMILY TO TENNESSEE TO SURROUND HER WITH LOVE

In the fall of 2021 Sheila was faced with being told she was no longer in remission and diagnosed with stage 4 Metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Triple Negative Breast Cancer is a more aggressive type of cancer with a faster, growth rate and higher risk of metastasis. May 2023 she decided to seek treatment outside of Alaska at a breast cancer specific treatment facility. She established care with Dr. Hamilton at Sarah Cannon Research Center in Nashville, TN and started a clinical trial.

As hopeful as we were for the clinical trial to work, we were informed at the beginning of September 2023, that she would be removed from the trial as it was not working. With our options very limited and our time short; Sheila has made the decision to come back home to live out the rest of her days to the fullest in her home town. She wishes to be in the comfort of her home; receiving care and treatment at the Fairbanks Cancer Center.

With her approval we are reaching out for donations to help with getting her and her kids back home. Sheila has a pure heart that cares for the people who surround her lending a hand to anyone in need. Any monies leftover will go towards relieving the financial burden she faces being out of work.
