Bring the Almassri Family to safety from Gaza

Dear compassionate community,

My name is Rola Almassri, and I am reaching out for urgent support for my family in Gaza. Our home in Khan Yunis has been devastated, leaving my parents, two brothers, sister-in-law, and their three young children trapped in the midst of a dire situation.

Despite having approved Australian visas, our family’s hopes were shattered when the Australian government withdrew consular support for safe evacuation from Gaza. Khan Yunis, initially marked a safe zone, saw our family forcibly relocated three times. My father, who stayed back to rescue martyrs from the rubble was chased from our house by drone gunfire. My brother too, as he tried to pack some belongings for his family. His youngest child is only two years old.

Our only option for their safe passage is through private travel, but our savings have been depleted. We have exit visas for everyone except my mother and father. We urgently need funds to secure the remaining exit visas into Egypt and flights to Australia.

Our entire street is obliterated. My family stays in a tent in Rafah where conditions are very poor. It is cold, there is no clean water, and it is hard to find food. Many people become ill and there is the constant threat of expulsion and bombing. All I want is for them to be safe and to have the chance to live with dignity and freedom.
