Bring Tibetan Culture to Lincoln City, Oregon!

Lincoln County Friends of Tibet is bringing the Jangchub Choeling nuns to the Lincoln City Cultural Center October 10th-15th, 2024 for the creation of the beautiful Avalokiteshvara Sand Mandala, as well as several days of other Tibetan cultural presentations.

In order for us to bring them, and to provide adequate housing, food, publicity, and so on, we are in the process of raising $3000 for their visit.

We invite anyone who is a friend of Tibetan culture and its people, or who just wants to see such a unique and beautiful presentation in our community, to donate towards our $3000 goal. It's a modest sum, but it will allow us to provide the Oregon coastal communities with this wonderful week of events, and to share time with the Tibetan nuns of Jangchub Choeling Nunnery

All proceeds raised during their visit will go towards medical expenses for the nuns at Jangchub Choeling in India, and other collective needs.

This is the first tour by such a group of Tibetan Nuns to the United States. The tour has already been to Tibet House in NYC, as well as locations in Maine, Kentucky, Chicago, Minneapolis, and elsewhere.

Funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign go towards facilities expenses with Lincoln City Cultural Center ($1000); Transportation from and to Seattle/Portland; Printing and related PR expenses; etc.

$2000 in additional funds has already been raised separately and is earmarked to go directly to the nuns.

Any remaining funds from the GoFundMe campaign not used for visit expenses, will go directly to the Jangchub Choeling nuns, as will all direct donations made during their visit.
