Vilma’s Road to Recovery

My name is Cristina; I am Atilio and Vilma's daughter. Yesterday, on my mom's birthday, she and my dad were on a Catamaran in Mexico, celebrating her special day. During the bumpy boat ride, my mom slipped and fell. The fall caused her femur to come out of place from her previously operated hip. She was immediately taken to the emergency room via ambulance. They have been trying to control her pain, but she cannot move without excruciating pain. They had to call in a specialist and will be putting her under today to try and put her femur back into place. Unfortunately, my parents have unexpectedly had to pay nearly $10k out of pocket for my mom to be treated. We still don't know if she will need surgery, but we hope they can put her femur back into place with no problems. Any donations, big or small, are incredibly appreciated in this challenging time. It's difficult to have this all go on while they are far away from home, but we hope we can get her home safe and sound as soon as possible. Thank you all!
