Brayden's adoption fund

Life is full of miracles and has led us to our current journey of adopting little Brayden! We are the Jordan Family!!! Our family members are Dad, David-Mom, Briana-Daughter,Ireland-Son,Graham-Son, BRAYDEN!!!

Brayden is a special needs child from China, and has a bleeding disorder (Hemophilia A), much like our son Graham.

Before I explain this let me tell you a little about the miracles that has formed our beautiful family.

First of all, my wife have been married for nearly 6 years. No that is not the miracle…HA HA! We love each other dearly and were meant to be together forever. We actually met 4 times over the course of 2-3 years and never realized that we had met before. However the first time we met I told a friend that I was going to marry her someday… I didn’t even get her number. Only a small miracle and God’s help that would bring us together years later. The biggest miracle was that I finally asked her out on a date!

Now on to miracle number two, Briana was pregnant with our first child, Ireland. Ireland was born on July 8th, 2010. There is something very special about this little girl that just cannot be explained. Her birthday was EXACTLY 5 years to the minute from when her uncle Joey passed away from a car accident. Not only does she have that special connection, but she knows things about him and his accident that we have never spoke of around her. We truly believe that her Uncle Joey and God are looking out for her and our family.

The third miracle involves our little boy. Graham was born on August 9th, 2012. His birth was very traumatic. He was actually sunny side up, and twisted in the birth canal so our physician had to use an assist device to help pull him out. The trauma caused horrible bruising on his head and left a large hematoma. It is a miracle to this day that he is here with us.  After multiple days in the hospital we finally got to go home with our little boy. (with no diagnosis, just thought to have a massive hematoma due to the traumatic birth).

Over time his head healed, but he continued to have large bruises from even the smallest amount of pressure. After a few different pediatricians we were eventually reported to social services because of the bruising. We didn’t give up and made it through that with the end result being a diagnosis of Hemophilia B and finding out that my wife carries the genetic mutation. Graham has had a rocky start with his blood disorder, he has experienced anaphylaxis, and now has inhibitors that keep his medications from being as effective as they should be.

The fourth miracle is how my wife and I independently stumbled upon Brayden’s adoption profile. On the same day we both caught his profile on our Facebook feeds, through a mutual family friend we know from our local HTC and through Waiting Child info. Instantly we both fell in love with that cute little boy and we started the adoption process nearly immediately. Brayden suffers from the same type of blood disorder as our son Graham. We feel that it was meant to be that we would be his family. His adoption is deemed a special needs child due to the Hemophilia. Hemophilia, if not treated proactively can lead to life threatening bleeds and bleeds into the joints that can cause permanent damage.

We know that adoption can take a long time and require a large amount of money. We are prepared to take this long journey but we are asking for your help in fundraising some the nearly $35,000 in fees. We need to get Brayden to the United States to start his treatments to help prevent those life threatening bleeds and permanent joint damage. We are privilaged to be welcoming Brayden into our home, and make our children's dreams come true by having a sibling. It is their ultimate wish to have a sibling, and we would be so thankful for your help in making their dreams come true, and for saving Braydens life!

Every little bit helps
