In the last couple weeks we have been navigating some new and unexpected things with our process. We ARE continuing forward and are still in the final stages, but due to the circumstances we have some extra costs that we were not expecting. I unfortunately cannot share the details publicly, but know that we have an amazing team working on it and he IS coming home. For Akers' birthday we had just a few close friends come write notes and verses on his walls, floors, and framing before it gets drywalled in. We are taking photos of each thing written to make him an album as evidence of just what an army has been fighting for him and praying him home. Many people do a fundraiser where you donate money and then get your name put on a suitcase, which we think is awesome...so we decided to throw out a last minute frundraiser like that, but with a twist. Instead of a suitcase we would love to write your name, a verse, a little note, etc in his room. There is no set donation, it is just whatever you feel lead to give, big or small. You can message us what you want us to write and we will write it and photograph it for his album. They are expecting to drywall his room SOON...so we are trying to get it done this week! If you want to be a part donate and message us within the next few days!
