Bringing English To Telesecundarias In Mexico
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Matt Hendricks from Latin American Media Group. My company creates online educational content that entertains. Our biggest project is an English language learning course for those who speak other languages. Now we are a for-profit company and are happy to be part of our community, but as we expand into rural communities and metro areas alike, we began to see a true need; there is a lack of good options leading to a lack of opportunities for students in Mexico and around Latin America. Help us make a difference by bringing English learning to these areas.
We are helping by providing the courses to the students at a low cost and by paying for internet access inside the public schools where they are learning. A full-year scholarship is $70 and that includes their English language learning course, the training and support for the teachers, and the Internet that they need to access the course.
This Project is for the sponsorship of middle school students in San Sebastian del Alamo, a quiet country town in central Mexico. Here most of the people work in agave, corn, or in dairy and they have for many, many years. Violence in recent years has pulled at the fabric of this community tearing families apart and limiting opportunities for future generations. The leaders in this community, the teachers, the parents, and all of us at Latin American Media are looking for ways to give these children opportunities beyond the violence and hope for a better future.
Let’s work together to change the path of these young people. These communities are not just asking for donations; local business owners are giving, local leaders are helping funding drives, the students are fundraising on their own, and we at Latin American Media donating scholarships. All that is left is you. Help us by donating for change –
$10 for one enrollment fee per student
$35 for one semester of English, internet access, and training/support for our teachers
$70 for one year of English, internet access, and training/support for our teachers
