Bringing Home Jack The Fighter
Donation protected
My sister and her husband are the bravest people I know. They have gone through more during their engagement and 4 years of marriage than most people experience in their whole life times. Now unfortunately is no different. Chris and Dianna wanted to start a family and tried for almost a year. Then the blessed news was received, Dianna was pregnant!! We were so excited if was such an answered prayer! We couldn’t wait to find out if she was going to have a boy or a girl! When the time came we gathered at their house and celebrated as we found out it was going to be a boy! One of the happiest nights we have shared as a family. Then things took a turn, about 6 weeks later Dianna was having some high blood pressure issues. We went in to see the doctor and after finding out her urine was high in protein as well. The doctors had to at quickly, and Dianna was placed on a Magnesium IV. Chris never left her side, always being the strong protector of his family. The doctors let them know that Dianna would have to have a C-Section to deliver her son in 2 days, that night they settled on a name, Jack! On Friday April 26th, we all gathered and waited for news on Jacks’s arrival. He made it into this world at 2:15pm, weighing 1 lb, 3 oz 11 inches long. A little guy but a fighter, none the less. Dianna had to spend the first night of his life in the ICU due to complications with delivery. Chris got to meet his new son and introduce him to us in the NICU. We learned a new term that day that I hope no one else ever does, Micro-premie. He was so small and his little diapers fit in the palm of our hands. He has faced so many obstacles like a MRSA infection that left his underdeveloped lungs in such a bad shape that he needed to go on an oscillating ventilator. He has been on some form of a ventilator for most of his life. He is a fighter and has drawn from the strength of his parents everyday. We, Chris and Dianna’s family, are asking for your continued support in helping us care for them and Baby Jack. In lieu of physical gifts they would receive from a baby shower we are asking for donations to assist with the cost of medical bills and helping Dianna be able to stay home, when Jack first comes home, since her short-term disability benefits have run out. Please donate today. Thank you and God Bless!
