Aid Our Mission: Health Hope for Rural Ghana

Imagine living miles away from the nearest hospital, with no doctor in sight. Imagine watching a loved one suffer from a treatable illness, but being unable to access the care they need. This is the harsh reality for many in rural Ghana.

In these remote areas, healthcare is not a given—it's a luxury. The World Health Organization reports that Ghana has one of the world's lowest doctor-to-patient ratios, with the situation being most dire in rural regions.

The consequences are heartbreaking. Treatable diseases become life-threatening. Mothers risk their lives to give birth. Chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension can escalate unchecked. And when sickness strikes, families are plunged deeper into poverty as they lose their sources of income.

This is a crisis that we cannot ignore. With your help, we can bring hope and healing to these underserved communities.

Who we are:

Since 2004, the Save Africa Foundation Inc. has been a beacon of hope in Ghana, West Africa. We're a global family of medical professionals, united by a shared mission: to bring healthcare to those who need it most. Our team, a diverse group of nurses, physicians, surgeons, and technicians from around the world, brings together a wealth of skills and experiences. Our shared commitment? To tirelessly provide emergency medical support to those who can't access healthcare.

Over the years, we've become a lifeline for some of the most vulnerable in Ghana, providing hundreds of life-saving surgeries and preventative medical care to thousands. These are individuals living on the edge of poverty, in dire need but unable to afford the costs associated with their health.

On our last mission alone, we provided over 50 general and GYN surgeries and medical healthcare to over 400 patients. This was possible thanks to your generosity. As we anticipate an increased demand this year, we're reaching out again for your support for our September 2023 medical mission.
