Bringing Marian Home

Donation protected
On Tuesday, 16th May 2023, my mum sadly passed away after fighting for her life and undergoing 3 major surgeries over a span of 3 months. None of us expected her to go so soon but God had other plans and wanted to put an end to her suffering. These past couple months, she has been through so much physically, mentally and emotionally.

In February, she had her open heart surgery and was on her recovery journey until early April when she suffered a stomach bleed. She had to undergo surgery and had blood tranfusions but still fought so hard to get better and recover. However, unfortunately, on the 8th of May, she had a massive bleeding in her brain and was found unconcious. My mum had to undergo brain surgery in the hopes of saving her life. However, days went by and the doctors decided that they have reached their medical capabilities and after a series of CT scans and EEGs, it showed that the damage to her brain was irreversible.

Knowing this, me, my dad Lui, my sister Megan, my auntie Lorie and also our close family friends were able to spend her last remaining hours, minutes and seconds with her until her last breath. We are thankful for the time and the opportunity we got to spend with her and say our final goodbyes.

My mum Marian, was greatly loved by many many people. She saved many lives as an ITU nurse in Morriston Hospital for 19 Years and made wonderful friendships. Many appreciated her. She was known for her kind big heart and infectious laugh. She never failed to put a smile on people’s faces.

She was also an amazing mother to me and my sister Megan (a literal super mum) and an extrordinary wife to my dad Lui. She raised 2 daughters me (Kyrsten) and my sister Megan. She loved her family so much, we were her life. We travelled and made unforgettable memories and experiences together as a family.

She is now in a better place where there is no more sadness, pain and suffering. We can feel that she is happy to be reunited with our Grandfather, Lolo Efren. Other than that, we know she will continue to look down upon us as she will be our guardian angel.

We are raising this “gofundme” because we want to respect and fulfil her last wish of bringing her home. We know the huge cost of this and we will be very appreciative and thankful for any donations that is given.

Thank you for your kind heart, support and generosity.
— Lui, Kyrsten and Megan.
