Bringing Me Closer to My Family & Community

Hi, my name is Anamaria Main, born in Fiji, and I’m 57 years old, living in Maroochydore, Australia.

In 1994, a neck operation didn’t go as planned, leaving me paraplegic. Over the years, my condition worsened, and by 2010, I became a permanent quadriplegic.

Life has been full of challenges, but I’ve never lost hope.

Why I Need Your Help

For six years, I haven’t been able to see my siblings and loved ones. My dream is to have a fully accessible home—one that’s comfortable for my carers, gives me independence, and finally allows me to spend time within my community whilst visiting them.

What Happened?

At the beginning of 2024, I took a big step and paid a builder in Fiji to start my home. Instead of completing the job, he took most of my money, leaving me with just a foundation. Since May 2024, I’ve been trying to continue building my house, but with my funds gone, I need your support to make this dream a reality.

What the Funds Will Cover

To complete my home by Christmas 2025, I need $50,000 for:

A Little About Me

I love gardening, cooking, and baking. I find peace in nature, I enjoy talking and sharing with my careers but I also like my quiet time. Some of my favorite shows are the movies by Kendrick Brothers, Yellowstone, Vikings, and Christian scriptures.
