Bringing Medical and Gospel Care to Uganda
Donation protected
I have the amazing privilege of returning to Uganda with Word of Life Medical Missions Ministries. It will be a similar trip as I took 2 years ago except that this time both my 16 year old son, Aaron, and my husband, Steven will be coming on the trip as well, serving in non-medical support staff rolls. What a joy for us to serve Ugandans and Jesus together! We will be there for a little over a week at the end of August 2025. We will be joining other medical and non-medical volunteers from around the U.S. and partnering with both medical and pastoral Ugandans who will follow up on the work we do during the week we are there. There is both an evangelistic and a medical focus to the trip. Everyone coming to the clinics will hear a Gospel message and have an opportunity to ask questions, have individual counseling and be offered the chance to seek Jesus more in addition to receiving medical care from providers as well as antibiotics and medications for disease processes. I am planning to do some large group preventive health education talks in order to equip them to prevent some acute and chronic issues that are common to life in Uganda.
Obviously a trip like this costs a significant amount of money. The cost for the time there which includes housing, food, local travel, and the purchasing of medications to be distributed at the clinics is $950 per person. The airfare per person is approximately $1,300 per person. So for the 3 of us, we are hoping to raise approximately $6,750. Would you consider helping us reach our goal? Thank you so so much!
If you are curious, the above picture is of Kristin with Dr Jane Namuganga, an amazingly skilled and compassionate Ugandan doctor, and Shantae Rodriguez, PA, one of Kristin's dear friends who went on the same mission trip 2 years ago.
