Dear friends, family, and supporters around the world,

It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic news of the passing of our beloved Milka Michael Seifu, who left us far too soon on September 3, 2024, at just 21 years old.

Milka had recently moved to Stockholm, Sweden, filled with hopes of building a brighter future. Unfortunately, due to complications with her residency status, she embarked on a journey to Northern France in hopes of reaching the UK.

Tragically, the boat she was on sank during the crossing, claiming the lives of 12 people, including Milka. Her body is currently in France, and we are now determined to bring her back to Ethiopia, her homeland, for a proper burial.

Milka's brother is organizing this fundraiser to help cover the expenses of repatriating her body and ensuring she receives a dignified farewell in Ethiopia. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a significant difference and help her grieving family and friends bring her home.
