Bringing my dad (Mike Huston) home

Donation protected
Hello. I am one of three siblings looking to raise some funds for my dads long awaited move.
For some reason it won’t let me choose Nashville as the zip code and only Chicago so my apologies!
My dad has been stuck in Canada since 2012. He moved for work but things did not go as anyone expected. For years and years my dad has been trying to move back home and me and my siblings are trying to crowd fund to help make it happen asap. My dad is struggling with some scary mental health issues and has ptsd from serving in the army when he was young in the 90s. My dad has had to miss out on so much. Grandkids being born, seeing me graduate, seeing me at prom, just so many milestones for us. It has been so hard seeing my dad age and be away from us for so long. The move is quite pricey and my dad is sort of up here alone and has wanted to move back home to be with his kids who honestly give him such purpose. It is truly a privilege to be able to see family in far destinations so often by having the funds to do so. I do not come from wealthy family background. We sort of help each other the best we can when it is needed if possible. My dad deserves so much and to see him happy and close to the ones he loves is probably me and my siblings biggest mission right now.

I decided to start with a small goal and see what happens. It sort of feels like this move is a move to save him and give him an opportunity to be with family and give him second life.
these funds will be used to pay for gas and possibly a moving van and some stops for sleep. My dad has two big dogs who he couldn’t live without so a long drive is in order because they’d be a mess on the plane rides it would take to get home. It will cost more than $1,000 but like I said, we will start small because truly I didn’t think something like this would work. We will be doing our best to save for this move as well. We just need to get as much as possible as soon as possible because my dad is losing some hope. Everything is appreciated. I think help has been so shamed for so long but doing things by yourself doesn’t get you far. I think humans need each other more than we’d like to think.
much much, appreciation from me and my siblings and everyone who loves my dad for any help received. We don’t know what we would do without him.
