Bringing my Tante (aunt) Carol home

My name is Heather and I am helping to raise funds for my tante (aunt) Carol to finally move back home to Oregon from Texas. My tante has been away from her brother (Jim) and sister (Nana/Esther) and us nieces and nephew for many, many years. She is a 73-year-old widow. She spent 34 years in the field of drug and alcohol counseling as well as the prison system in both Alabama and Texas. She has always done for others and it's our turn to try to take care of her and help her on her journey back home to her native lands.

My tante Carol is an enrolled member of The Confederated Tribes of Siletz as well as Kalapuya. She will be making the drive from Corpus Christi, TX back "home" to Oregon on May 9th of this year with her little pup. At her age and income, she will be camping along the way and getting hotel rooms when she is able. She estimates the trip will take her approximately 9 days. I am hoping we can come together and make this move/drive as easy as possible for her, which would mean making sure she is covered for unexpected expenses as well as the obvious gas, food, and lodging. I don't want my tante at her age to have to camp or car camp, and we all would feel better knowing she will have the funds to stay safely in a hotel/motel room along the way.
