Bringing peace to Karen's battle with ALS

Karen is a wife to Ken, a mom to two incredible children, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a doctor, a hiker, a cross country skier, a runner and many other remarkable things. She was tragically diagnosed with ALS about 1.5 years ago and sadly it has progressed very rapidly. She continued to work as a psychiatrist in our rural community up until a few months ago, helping people with their problems while knowing she had a life limiting illness.

She is a private person and has kept her diagnosis quiet to protect her 2 sweet children.

She was denied adequate life insurance due to a pre-existing issue before her diagnosis. She has made very few requests of anyone throughout this battle, but has agreed to this fund raising effort for her family.

She is in the final throws of this terrible disease and I would love to bring her some peace knowing that her family will be ok financially. Thank you for considering donating to the Pistak Family.
