Bringing Sharra Back Home

On July 18th, our lives took an unexpected and devastating turn when our daughter, Sharra, a loving single mom of three beautiful children, faced a life-altering medical crisis. It's a story that has shaken us to our core, and we need your help.

Sharra, was working tirelessly to secure a brighter future for herself and her children. She was on the verge of moving from Kentucky back to the Phoenix area, her hometown.

But her plans were derailed.

On that day, Sharra experienced a series of seizures which then caused her to suffer multiple cardiac arrests while under the care of emergency medical professionals. They fought to bring her back from the brink, and they succeeded. However, the oxygen deprivation during these traumatic episodes left Sharra with profound brain injuries.

Sharra now faces a long and arduous journey towards recovery. She currently requires round-the-clock medical care, and her family has pulled together to ensure her children are cared for.

The challenge we now face is the daunting cost of transporting Sharra back to Arizona, where her family can provide the love and support crucial to her recovery. Unfortunately, this essential journey is not covered by insurance. We looked at several options to find the most economical choice and found that a medical flight would cost upwards of $55,000. The best price we found was for a medical ground transport. The cost for this transport from Kentucky to Phoenix is $16,000, which still presents a significant financial burden for the family.
