Brink Strong

A couple of days before Thanksgiving 2021, Bob had a seizure at work. He was rushed to South Shore Hospital and then transferred to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for evaluation. They discovered the seizure was caused by a cancerous brain tumor.

Since his diagnosis, Bob has had multiple hospital stays and has undergone intensive chemo, radiation, and a 10-hour surgery. Throughout the process, Bob has maintained his positive attitude with a healthy dose of his dry, sarcastic humor.

Bob suffered a stroke back in June and needs 24/7 care, which Lauren and Alicia have been providing themselves. They are both up a couple of times a night to reposition him and prevent skin sores. They are exhausted from the broken sleep and constant care that Bob requires. They have accepted that they need help. We’re hoping to raise money for the Brinkmann family to help them pay for the extra services needed to help care for Bob. Any amount will make a difference.
