Brinkman Adoption

Hello! My name is Kay. My husband Michael and I would like to begin by Thanking you for taking the time to read this! We both feel "Weird" and a little uncomfortable creating a Gofundme, but with the urging of family and friends, we are putting our faith in the kindness of others.

Michael And I were married in October 2018 with the dreams of starting our own family. After 4 years of trying to become pregnant and then discovering a medical condition that could make conceiving a child difficult, we were reminded that our dreams are not always what God's plans are. With the desire and passion to Love, Care and provide a home for a Child, we prayed for our next step.

Our Journey through prayer quickly led us to the idea of adoption! Since we knew we would need help with where to begin, we reached out to a friend who works and specializes in adoption. The more we spoke with her, we became more at peace with knowing we were on the right journey of God's plan and the calling to adopt. Our dreams of becoming parents no longer just had to be a dream.

We are currently in the process of working with The Joyful Adoption and getting our home study completed. Though these are the early stages of the adoption process, we are unsure of how quickly this process could move. The last thing Mike or I would want would be to become matched with an expecting mother and not have all the funds to complete the process.

The average cost of adopting a child ranges anywhere from 30,000 to 50,000 dollars.

We both know money doesn't grow on trees, but greater than that we know we are willing to do whatever it takes to start our family. We will be using our savings to cover what we are able, and are praying that through grants and donations, we will be able to get close to the final amount to complete the adoption process.

We are extremely grateful for your time in reading our story along with the possibility of becoming a donor. We truly understand that none of this could be possible without your support whether it be through prayer, love, or finances. We are very excited to go through this journey and share with others how God filled our hearts and home with a child that only he could have chosen for us. We look forward to updating you with the news of the day we will be bringing Baby Brinkman home.
