Brinkman House Fire

On Saturday February 13th an old chest freezer in my parents’ house malfunctioned. It smoldered for some time before finally catching fire. There is extensive smoke damage through the house as well as a total loss of the kitchen, pantry and laundry areas. In addition the fire fighters needed to break many of the windows to vent the smoke.
Thankfully Tom and Nancy were not home at the time, and the two dogs were safe outside. We know for sure two of the five cats have passed, but have been unable to enter the house to know about the other three.
Unfortunately due to financial hardship there was no homeowners insurance currently on the house, so restoration needs to be done by the family.
The funds from GoFund me will go for paying for carpentry work to repair the burned floor joists, replacing kitchen appliances (stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave), the washer and dryer, flooring, paint drywall, smoke and soot removal and any other expenses that arise.
