The Brisbane Lions have the best song in the AFL, but to be honest, the music behind it could be a lot better. We love our song, but we don’t love the cheesy 90s synthesiser trumpets and the stiff programmed MIDI drums that the current version has.

We don’t want to change the song; we want to change the sounds behind it.

We want to keep our same great song we know and love, but we want it to have the same energy and feel you can only get from performances by real musicians playing real instruments.

We need to make it clear; there’s no guarantee the club will adopt the song as the official version, but they have told us they are genuinely open to the idea.

So we’ve assembled a stellar list of some of the best musicians and singers in Brisbane. A lot of them are Lions tragics and have agreed to provide their services for free or well below their usual rates.

We have been busy assembling the team and doing the sums, all we need is to reach our target of $3,000 and we can make this happen.

As thanks for their donation, all donors will receive first access to the song once completed, as well as behind-the-scenes content about the creation of the song. The song itself will remain the sole property of the creators.
