Britt Medical Expenses

Hi everyone, I started this go fund me for Brittany Gaviria-Sanchez. A dear family friend and best friend to me, Maya Brown. She is 27 and a (currently) fibromyalgia patient. Thank you for using your time to click on this profile. Brittany, or Britt we love to call her is a daughter, sister, friend, and much more. She works as a prevention specialist and has a passion for social justice, and creating joy out of the little things. Brittany hopes to keep being the daughter, sister, friend, artist, and so much more, but recently her health struggles are preventing her from being there and showing up.

Last year, Britt was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, which was a shock, trust me. Fibromyalgia is a chronic disorder and causes pain throughout the body. Sometimes it can feel like pins and needles and other days it's aching, knife-like, or even burning. She has been sickly for years now but only recently have we had a diagnosis.

Currently, she has been going back and forth with different specialists and doctors due to the fact that even more abnormalities outside of fibromyalgia have come up and a new diagnosis needs to be reached.

Being completely transparent, having a diagnosis after all this time was comforting in a way for all of us. There were no more ifs or maybes or even althoughs. There was an answer, which is what Britt wanted for years. But sadly the relief was short-lived and we are back to not knowing. It has been a stressful and hard time and Britt is trying but she just needs some help.

Please help her fight and find a way through this illness and its expenses. Please help me, help her: the artist, a friend, and a daughter she once was. Thanks for reading, you have brightened my day and Britt’s.
