UPDATE ON Brittany, Dan, and their tiny little girls.

On May 24th, at only 24 weeks along, the world was blessed with the arrival of Blake Audrey and Oaklyn Shirley-Rose. While the doctors and their family were hopeful the babies would stay put for as long as possible, Blake was having struggles with Tachycardia, and as a result Brittany was rushed to have an emergency c-section.

Blake weighing only 1.8 pounds and Oaklyn weighing only 1.2 pounds.

These tiny girls have proved they are fighters, but they still have a long road of recovery ahead of them. Blake and Oaklyn are planned to be in the NICU until September 11th... which was their original due date.

They are currently at Orlando NICU, and are surrounded by amazing Doctors and medical staff that will monitor them round the clock.

Brittany and Dan reside in Lakeland, FL and are putting their lives on hold to ensure they are present for their baby girls as much as physically possible. With that being said, the amount of travel, time off work, and cost for accommodations to stay as close to their girls is going to be of great financial cost to their family. In these hopeful yet scary times, it's important for Brittany and Dan to be there for Blake and Oaklyn, and to not have the struggles of financial worry. In the almost 4 months the babies will be in the NICU, the loss of income and expenses for them will be a great ordeal for the Maffett family. In these difficult times, we ask if anyone can donate anything at all to help support their family and their beautiful little girls.

****My dear friend, Brittany and Dan planned a baby shower on June 3rd, 2023, and unfortunately had to cancel their shower due to Brittany's hospitalization due to her water breaking at only 24 weeks. Brittany always wanted to be a mother and when she was finally blessed with pregnancy, she was granted with two, beautiful twin girls. Her story is rather different than your typical pregnancy, but she has continued to be beyond hopeful, grateful, and ecstatic that she has the privilege of carrying two miracle baby girls. After the shock, anxiousness, and love she had already developed for her girls, unfortunately Baby A was diagnosed with a rare syndrome that puts Brittany and both babies at risk. Brittany underwent surgery at only 20 weeks along that put her and the babies at risk. But Brittany did it knowingly that this was their best chance for the babies survival and health during her pregnancy. Today at only 24 weeks along, Brittany's water broke and she was admitted to the hospital until the babies arrival, due to her needing to be monitored round the clock as well as her twin girls. With Brittany and Dans, cancellation of their shower along with the financial aspect of raising two newborns we ask if anyone can help in anyway that can assist them in these trying times.

We appreciate you reading and learning about Brittany and dans story and if you are unable to donate please keep them and her twin girls in your prayers.
