Help Britt Beat Colon Cancer

Hello Angels!

Our incredibly inspiring, amazing and strong sister/daughter Brittany Willard has embarked upon the fight of her life against stage IV colon cancer. We created this page in response to so many of you who have asked how you can support her.

For those of you who know Brittany, calling her proud and a bit stubborn is an understatement. She is the last to ask for help but the first to offer a hand. She’s also a single mom of a beautiful 7-year-old, Sedona, who is the center of her universe and her motivation to win this battle. We REALLY want Brittany to be able to focus on healing and kicking cancer’s ass. Your donations will go towards helping cover their living and medical expenses during this process.

And for those of you who don’t know, several months ago, Britt was rushed to the hospital in extreme abdominal pain. A large mass causing completed obstruction in her intestines was identified, and the surgery resulted in a colostomy and a confirmed cancer diagnosis. She then began a very aggressive chemotherapy regimen and was diagnosed with stage IV metastatic colon cancer that has metastasized to the liver and throughout her abdomen. She has remained a true warrior goddess while adjusting to the new daily demands of living with a colostomy bag and the side effects of chemo.

The good news: Follow-up scans show that she is responding to this chemo and that it has been effective in reducing the size of her tumors. However, the size and location of a tumor in her liver make it inoperable— meaning Britt’s best course of action is to undergo a second round of chemotherapy ASAP. The intent is to make her a better candidate for surgery, so any tumor deposits can be removed and her colon can be reattached.

The colostomy bag and invasive chemo has made it impossible for Brittany to return to work (much to her dismay). And with several more months of chemotherapy followed by at least one more major surgery, she will not be able to return to work any time soon.

This disease has already taken so much from her emotionally, mentally and physically, and we hope to ease the burden of the escalating financial stress. We are so touched by the outreach and support surrounding our family at this time and prayers are absolutely felt.
