Brittany Burns Medical Expenses

In 2020 my daughter Brittany Burns was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer at the young age of 33. She had a double mastectomy, several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Brittany had been on many medications to try and suppress and contain the remaining cancer in her lymph nodes. However, recently she has been very ill and spent a week in the hospital. After various tests and lots of waiting Brittany was told that her cancer had in fact metastasized to her lungs and bones, now considered Stage III Metastatic Breast Cancer.

Her treatment plan now consists of a weekly procedure to remove fluid surrounding her lungs. Multiple shots every two weeks, and an IV fluid once a month. In addition to this she must take chemo pills twice a day. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover everything, leaving her with an out-of-pocket cost of over $1,000 a month.

These funds are to help her out with the medication required to keep her well that is not covered by insurance as well as helping her make ends meet while she is unable to work.
