Brittany Byers

I am Brittany Byers mother , Laura Tilley. On July 25 ,2020, my daughter went into cardiac arrest and was with out oxygen for 30 minutes or more. The paramedics started cpr then they shocked her to bring her back. She was rushed to Atrium Health’s Carolina Medical Center where she was put on life support. She has brain damage. She stayed on the ventilator for 3 weeks. Since then she has had a trach and feeding tube.  She had internal bleeding and had surgery to remove her spleen. She had to have a blood transfusion. She’s 32, and a mother of 2 beautiful boys. She’s taking physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. She’s had the trachea removed. She can’t stand. She will need medical equipment, medication and help with medical bills. She will need help to live with me at home to assist in daily living.
