Brittany Cone Support Fund
Donation protected
Brittany died on May 7th, leaving behind two young girls, Addie (12) and Alice (4). This fundraiser is for the funeral costs and the ongoing support of the two girls she left behind. And it is also for my brother Scott and his wife Kristen.
Scott is truly a living saint.
Scott and his wife Kristen raised 6 kids (2 sets of twins), and they unselfishly took in their two granddaughters when Brittany was not able to cope and provide proper care due to a lifelong substance abuse problem. They have been providing care for over 10 years now, including fronting a lot of the costs of childcare and Brittany's substance abuse treatment.
Scott and Kristen need all of our help now, more than ever before.
As a community, let's come together and help this family build a brighter future for Addie and Alice. So please consider donating, however much you can.
PS. GoFundMe adds a 12.5% "platform" fee automatically as a "tip" - I am cool with them making some money but you can adjust the amount - it is either a slider, button or dropdown (they appear to change it randomly). There SHOULD be an option to change it, all the way to $0 - I think 5% is certainly reasonable as the platform does need to be supported and it helps a lot of good causes.
Thank you in advance.
