In memory of Brittany Lynn Howard

My name is Michael Prevatte and my family’s lives changed forever on the early morning of December 23, 2023. My sister, Brittany Lynn Howard (28) was tragically and senselessly taken from this earth. Brittany was a victim of domestic violence for many years. When Brittany finally got the courage and strength to walk away from her abuser, our family was beyond grateful and thankful for her promising road ahead. Brittany was an amazing young lady with her whole life ahead of her. Brittany was talented, loving, vibrant, strong, beautiful, carefree , and had a heart of gold. Brittany loved animals and children and she truly had a gift for interacting with both. Brittany‘s life was tragically taken by her abuser when he showed up unannounced and uninvited at a holiday gathering she was attending with friends. When her abuser showed up, things took a dark and drastic turn for the worst. Brittany put up a strong fight, but sadly succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. I am organizing this GoFundMe for a celebration of Brittany’s life. The funds raised will be used to help for funeral and burial expenses. Like most young people, Brittany did not have pre-made arrangements. Things have been tight for her family, especially with Christmas just a day away. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated by her family. Even if you are unable to donate, please share her story and bring awareness to the victims of domestic violence. Final arrangements will be updated Tuesday, December 26, 2023 as I will be meeting with the funeral home Director then. Thank you all so much for taking the time to read and share Brittany’s story.
