Hi everyone, early last week my sister Brittany Zeitz was a victim to a home invasion. The incident was not someone trying to rob her but more so she was the object of interest. Luckily we are fortunate enough say that the incident left her physically unharmed but the effects of the intrusion have come at a cost mentally, emotionally, and financially.
In order for Brittany to find peace and feel safe again she urgently needed to move out of her apartment and into a more safe and gated community. We all know the price of moving and the price that comes with breaking a lease. My sisters previous apartment complex will not let her break the lease and she has paid a deposit and first months rent for the new complex. That alone amount to multiple of thousands of dollars but she has needed to invest in the following:
- security system
- new bed frame
- new bed sheets and bedding
- new bed room furniture
- the cost to turn her utilities on
- the cost of gas that she spent making the trips to move
- the cost of the hotels her and my mom stayed in while trying to find a new place to live last minute
