Britt's Recovery
Donation protected
Brittany Forrest26 year old, fun loving, 'Just Dance' enthusiast, animal lover, Disney expert, mom of 2 energetic boys- Aiden and Kailen, step mom to Brooklyn and expectantly waiting to meet the newest unamed additon, Baby 'Champ' Forrest.

On April 1st, Britt went into ER after many days of constant pain, nausea and low energy. The events to follow were nothing short of tragic. We found ourselves in a whirlwind of Dr's, an emergency transport to St. Paul's hospital in Vancouver, and a rollercoaster of good, bad and ugly news. After a cardiac arrest on April 12th, Doctors gave an emergency C-Section, and performed heart surgury. She was put on to a ECMO machine to assist in heart and lung function and was kept sedated. A Heart biopsy revealed that Britt has Myocarditis, an extreamly rare inflammation of the heart, and that some of her heart is irretrivably damaged. But even under heavy sedation our Britt refused to give up. She is constantly surprising us with every update, and she has passed on her stubborness to her newborn baby, nicknamed 'Champ' who is wowing Dr's at the Children's Hospital, and is stealing everyone's heart, but none more than his father's, Charlie.
On April 14th Britt was weaned off of the heart and lung machine and proved to us how much she refuses to give up. The health care team are hopeing to be able to wake her up over the weekend.
At this time we are asking for financial aid to help the family relocate to Vancouver to support Britt and 'Champ' as they both recover and receive treatment as well as care for Aiden and Kailen. The money will be used to help the family for the first few months as they try to get funding in motion and get connected and plugged in to supports available.
While we are still not out of the woods, we are in high hopes and entirely grateful to the good work done by St. Paul's and its loving staff. On behalf of the family, thank you for any and all donations, prayers and support.
