Broadway for the Boonies

Hi! My name is Heather Makalani. As a Broadway performer hailing from the beautiful island of Guam, I've always had a deep love for animals, especially the countless strays that roam our streets. Growing up amidst this reality, I've been driven by a heartfelt desire to make a difference in their lives. On Guam, we're home to over 60,000 strays, and our resources are limited. There's just one shelter, and foster families are overwhelmed by the sheer number of animals in need.

That's why I'm thrilled to announce "Broadway for the Boonies," a benefit concert aimed at raising essential funds for the Boonie Flight Project, an extraordinary organization right here on Guam. Their mission is simple yet profound: to rescue and rehabilitate stray dogs, giving them a second chance at life and a loving home in the United States.

While a portion of the ticket prices from the concert will contribute to covering the venue's operational costs, many of you have expressed your desire to give more, or may not be able to attend the show in person. In response to your generosity and heartfelt support, I've set up this GoFundMe campaign.

Every dollar donated here will be combined with the funds raised during the concert, and every single penny will find its way to the Boonie Flight Project.
