Brock's Team

Donation protected
On March 12, our teammate and friend, Brock Garland (#42), was injured during practice for the Etowah High School track team when he was struck in the head by a stray discus throw.  He was rushed to the hospital where he spent two weeks in ICU, followed by another week at CHOA.  Brock’s recovery has been nothing short of miraculous, and his family is grateful for all the love, support, and concern everyone has shown during this time.  Brock is currently at home and attending physical therapy daily, but still faces another surgery to replace the damaged piece of his skull, followed by additional physical therapy.  While Brock is expected to make a full recovery, he still has a lot of work ahead of him, with more medical expenses to come.  Brock’s family is blessed to have medical insurance, but there are still extensive out of pocket expenses to meet deductibles and to cover income lost while Brock’s parents stayed with him in the hospital.  Many have asked how they can help, so we have established this GoFundMe page on Brock’s behalf.  If you are unable to contribute at this time, continued prayers and well-wishes are truly appreciated.  Thank you to all for your love and support!
