Brock's unforeseen cancer expenses

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Dana Beier. I am a single mom of 2 wonderful children as most of you know, but some may not. I work very hard for my small family. I am reaching out to friends, family, or anyone who would like to help us in a time of great need. My 22 year old son was diagnosed with cancer in late April 2021. Here is a little background of Brock, he has a sister with RETT syndrome whom he loves dearly. Brock attends Ohio Wesleyan University where he is studying human health kinetics. His time at school is spent in class and being a part of the O line on the Battling Bishop's Football Team.
In April Brock began to experience unbearable pain and while doing a self examination, he discovered a large mass. Unable to take the pain any longer he went to the emergency department at a local hospital. While waiting for ultrasound results to come back one of the hospitalist came in to tell Brock that the insurance card (through his father) that he gave them was no longer valid. (After I heard this I contacted his father, just to find out that yes neither Brock or his sister were insured through him. Their father's new wife dropped both children from his insurance in January without any communication/notification to myself or Brock. I only had 30 days to add my children to my insurance, which was well past, so at that point Brock is uninsured.) He then has the emergency department doctor come in and tell him, "I believe you have cancer." Brock is 21 and hearing the word CANCER. The doctor's advise to him was you need to see a specialist. So the next day he was blessed enough to get into the specialist and surgery to remove the tumor was scheduled for the first week of May. After surgery we met with the oncologist in June who felt surgery went well and that tumor markers looked good. The oncologist told Brock that surveillance(CT scan) every 3 months for a year would be the next of his treatment schedule and if all went well with those he would start yearly scans.
Now it was time get back to school and football. Feeling like he is in the best shape of his life. He started living life again. The first scan was done in September, Brock was called and told there was a lymph node that was enlarged and they need to do the scan again in a couple of weeks to recheck. Sometimes lymph nodes can be enlarged for different reasons. Brock goes back in 2 weeks and gets another CT and the lymph node has doubled in size and is now seen in another area. Brock's oncologist calls me a 7:30p.m. I know this is not a good call. I am told the cancer has metastasized. Brock now had cancer in his pelvis area and kidney area. We meet with the oncologist that following week, in which Brock met with his new or 2nd oncologist who specializes in this form of cancer and the way it is spreading.
The doctor told us Chemotherapy was the treatment that Brock will be starting. Then the doctor asked us to go right over to the surgeon's office at the hospital and get scheduled for the chemo port, then we were to go to another specialist in Cleveland the following week for another appointment. Our heads are spinning at this point, but doing all that we have to do.
Chemo started so fast that Brock didn't even have a follow-up appointment for his port to make sure everything was healing properly.
Brock has been going through chemo for 3 months and one of those days in the chair were his 22nd birthday. As I stated above I am a single mom who has worked the days that I can, but I have had to take a lot of FMLA because my son was not doing this alone. Some days better than others, but a lot of sickness off and on, chest pain, just plain and simple not feeling good. Please any little bit will help with everyday living costs and the unforseen bills we have encountered. Thank you and God bless.

On his birthday. Too sick to even eats the Cane's that he thought sounded so good.
