Brodie Boggs Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends of the Boggs family, I am setting up this go fund me to alleviate the financial stress from Brodie’s family so they are able to be by his side and not have to worry about bills, medical expenses and travel costs.
On December 5th, Brodie was admitted to ICU for slurred speech and obstruction of the left internal carotid artery. In the early morning hours of the 6th, he started to lose feeling in his right arm and leg. A follow up CTA scan was done and showed an Acute CVA with large MCA occlusion (Massive Stroke).
Later that day, he was seen by a Neurosurgeon, who suggested a craniotomy due to the swelling to his left side of his brain from the stroke. He was taken to emergency surgery that night. He is currently recovering but will have a long road ahead of him. He will have to go into an inpatient rehabilitation and have another surgery to replace his skull. Hopefully, he will be accepted in Houston since they have the best rehabilitation center in the area, next option would be in New Orleans. His wife, Bonnie, has not left his side. She has not been able to work and is not sure when she will be able to return.
Brodie is a hard worker and a good friend. He is always willing to help out his friends, family and coworkers when they are in need. Your donation would help take the financial strain off his wife for future medical travel expenses, meals, and medical bills. Bonnie and Brodie still have an 8 year old daughter at home to care for. Brynn is missing her dad so much and I’m sure this will make the upcoming holidays hard on her since he is not there.
Please find it in your hearts to donate anything you can at this time to help this family concentrate on Brodie’s recovery.
Any amount and/or shares will be a huge help to their family! Every little bit helps...
Let us keep Brodie and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
If you are unable to donate, then please just offer prayers for a full and speedy recovery.
