My name is Brodie Lowry and I have been fortunate enough to be selected

to the Team Canada U18 Rugby team for 2023. This year's tournament is

being held in Amsterdam, in the Netherlands, from July first until the

sixteenth. Canada shall be prominently showing off its skills against

Team Netherlands, Team United States and Team Belgium over the coarse of

the two and half weeks. After exhausting all attempts to obtain funding,

grants or sponsorship, from both the federal and provincial governments,

we, the athletes, have been forced to fund ourselves.

To date, the tryouts consisted of trips to Guelph Ontario last fall, and

Abbotsford British Columbia this spring, which I was able to fund on my

own. As a result, I am very proud to announce that I am the only Team

Canada member representing Quebec.

I am young, driven and have worked hard for this opportunity.

Unfortunately, Team Canada Rugby does not receive funding or sponsorship

for any of tournaments, and I find myself in need of assistance to be

able to participate in the Corendon Summer Series, in Amsterdam. So I

ask this community if you would show your pride in Team Canada and help

support me in this once in a lifetime experience.

To all of you who participate in helping me get to Amsterdam, I thank

you for making Team Canada Rugby's success possible.
