Brody Hamilton battling brain cancer

Donation protected
Hello, I’m Mary, Brody’s aunt. Our entire family is forever grateful for any donations to help my sister Grace and her husband Chris Hamilton with taking the financial burden off their shoulders while trying to navigate through this difficult time. Below is written from Grace on March 20th, 2024 and a description of how their lives have forever changed. All donations go directly to Brody and his family for medical bills, normal monthly bills, hotel stay, gas, food, etc. while he is fighting this battle.

The last 3 days have been a blur. On Monday morning, Brody and I headed up to an appointment in Tacoma for an MRI. He had been having headaches the last 6 months, so his pediatrician wanted to be on the safe side and get an MRI. I really hadn’t been too stressed out about it and Brody and I were mostly just excited to have a day off together and hang out. As I was waiting for him to get done with the MRI I got a phone call from his pediatrician. Again, didn’t think much of it other than thinking it was super thoughtful for him to be checking in on Brody today. I never imagined he would be calling to tell me the MRI found a tumor.

Brody had surgery yesterday to remove the tumor. Surgery went well. It was confirmed that the tumor is brain cancer, but the specific type won’t be known until next week. Once we know, the oncologist will make a treatment plan for our brave boy.

The amount of love and prayers we have received has been overwhelming and we have felt every bit of them. At first Brody was really hesitant about telling anyone about this, but before he went in for surgery yesterday he said he wanted as many people to know so that he can have as many people possible praying for him. The post-op scans of his brain look good and we will be getting a scan of his spinal cord tomorrow. We’re praying that the spine scans come back good as well. Also praying for all of our fears to be put to ease. We would be so grateful for continued prayers for our brave boy.
