Brody's "Truckin' For Hunger" 15k

Hi my name is Brody Wooten and I am in the 3rd grade at Gum Springs Elementary School. This year for my Challenge project I was given the option to do a Commmunity Service project. I am partnering with a local organization called iServe to provide food for hungry people in the community. This is where I need your help! I need to raise $800 to purchase a food truck that contains 30,000 lbs of food and feeds over 200 people. As part of my commitment to this project I am dedicating the next 6 weeks of training to run a 15K on January 22nd in Atlanta and I would really appreciate sponsors for this run. All the proceeds from these sponsorships will go toward the purchase of the food truck. In addition, any additional money raised will be used by the same organization to fund backpacks that go home with food in them for local school children jon the weekends. I just recently started volunteering with iServe and it has been a great experince for me and my family. Update: because of the positive response to my campaign I have decided to try and raise enough money for 2 food trucks- I know we can do it!!!
