Broke N Ben Schofield & Carolyn

Donation protected
On March 18, a very good friend, Ben Schofield was obviously chewing some gum and had some issues putting one foot in front of the other.  Ben Schofield and Carolyn Nicoli are the type of people that would do anything to help someone else if it is within their reach.  On the flip side of this, we now need to come together for these two wonderful people.

Ben's Story:
On march 18, I fell while ice fishing which resulted in me breaking both my tibia and fibula of my right leg. The only way to fix my leg would be surgery. I had two options: 1 drill the entire length of my bone from my knee to my ankle and insert a full length rod. The setback to this procedure would cause more invasive surgery at a later date should we discover injuries to my knee as well later in the healing process. Or 2: let my tibia heal on its own at my knee and place two plates and 8 screws in my fibula at the break near my ankle.

I opted for option 2 and had surgery on march 20th.

The surgeon feels I will be out of work for three months. I also can't drive during this time because I was lucky enough to break my right leg.

I now have 8 screws and two plates in my leg near my ankle.
I'll tell ya, without Carolyn I would be done. She has taken on way more than she deserves. She is pretty special and I'm glad I have her

From a good friend of Bens Keith Laurencelle
Hi Folks
This Go Fund Me account was created by friends of Ben and will hopefully help his family out financially while he is recovering from an unfortunate accident.

A couple weeks ago Ben had suffered an unexpected injury while out ice fishing with his family. He was walking down to the lake and his foot got caught breaking through some hardened snow on the shoreline. The momentum from the rest of his body weight caused his leg to break in two places. He was taken by ambulance to the local hospital where it was determined he would need to have surgery as soon as possible.

The surgery was successful However, it has left Ben with some hefty medical bills. In addition to those expenses Unfortunately Ben won't be able to return to work for a minimum of 2 to possibly 3 months while he recovers.

Ben is a loving father to his daughter Hunter and his (gf/fiancee?) Carolyn. His injury will prevent him from being able to work and his normal day to day duties. This is very stressful and upsetting for a man who typically works very hard to provide for his family.

Any contributions would be Greatly appreciated.

Keith

Obviuosly this means that everyday bills are going to slowly pile up, because he can't drive to work or even put any weight on his leg.

His first bill to come in was just over $2100 for the emergency bill and he is looking at possibly another surgery.

Every little bit helps and if you can't donate monetarily, just a quick note or text to Ben to lift his spirits would be greatly appreciated.
