Broken Back: A Family's Urgent Need for Aid

My name is Michelle and my son Tristan Hood had an unfortunate accident two days after Christmas. He was on an extension ladder that buckled, and he fell 20 feet. He broke his back in 3 places. He will require surgery and/or a back brace and will be unable to work for many months. He had no insurance for this and has a young family. He is only 25 years old. His children are 3 and 4 years old. He is a very hard working lineman and family man in an unlucky position.

This is a hard time of the year to be without any money for food and heat. They have a mortgage to pay without an income. Please help this family get through this very hard ordeal. Anything helps to keep them afloat so that he can take time to heal. This is a very, very expensive time for the Hood family between follow up therapies including PT and OT as well as being out of work for a minimum of 3 months with full recovery up to a year. We don’t want Tristan to focus on get you back to work when he should be recovering. All funds raised will go directly to the family to cover costs and help them stay afloat through this difficult time.
