Broken & broke

On June 21st a trip and fall changed everything. I broke and displaced my humerus. I needed emergency surgery, because my blood flow to my arm was compromised. A plate, 10 screws, and 36 staples later, I was "put back together ". Unfortunately, I will be facing a prolonged recovery period, therefore my job terminated me!!! After being a nurse for 34 years, I no longer have my income. My boss also informed me I will not be able to get help from AFLAC, short term disability, and my health insurance is gone. I've just had to pay $500 for a plumbing issue, and $400 for our yearly cost of trash pick up. What little I had in the bank is depleted. I am trying to sell belongings, but that's not going so well. I hate to ask for help, but it would greatly be appreciated if anyone could lend a hand. Thank you in advance. God bless you.
