Broken Teeth, but Hopeful Heart
Pet Patrol is a volunteer-run, non-profit cat rescue organization in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. All our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and any health concerns are addressed before they are available for adoption. Hi, My name is BamBam and this is my story: When a nice lady saw me eating at the feeding station on her back porch, it was late at night, and it was through her camera. I was pretty scared and nervous, but I ate until I was full and scooted off. Over the next week or two I started coming more regularly and then the lady started to calmly sit outside while I ate. I became comfortable in her presence and eventually allowed her to pet me. Soon I was rescued and stayed at the Pet Patrol sanctuary where I hung out with the other cats. As will happen sometimes, a change of environment can cause a cat’s immune system to dip a little bit so any medical issues we have been fighting off successfully seem to arise. Sure enough, that’s what happened with me. They discovered that my teeth were in poor shape and one was broken, so I need to have some extractions done and have the thick tarter cleaned off. I am looking forward to this so that I will feel better and eat better. Pet Patrol has been so good to me even though I am a shy cat. I am coming around nicely and I’m happy to have been rescued with kindness and patience. But now it’s your generosity and your heartfelt thoughts that will see me through.
