Broken window, stolen textbooks & laptop

The first thing I did was pray for compassion and understanding for the brother or sister that broke into my car and stole my belongings.

I reminded myself that I am taken care of, even though things have already been feeling quite tight for me financially. Reminding myself to breathe, trust, and find the courage to ask for help.

 

Here's my story friend's, family, community..

Currently, I am a full-time student in an intensive program.

I am in school five days a week and am set to graduate in April 2022!
THOUGH INCREDIBLY GRATEFUL to have the opportunity to learn and develop my craft, being a full-time student does make losses like this a little harder to come back from. 

 

Last night, I decided to stay in Seattle having an appointment early the next morning.. 

With my hands full, I consciously looked at my backpack and thought, "Well, it's unlikely I will be doing any homework tonight," proceeding to lock my car door and go inside.

No, I didn't think for a minute that someone would bust in the window and steal my backpack with my wallet, cards three of my textbooks and laptop that I use daily for school.

I was under the impression that I was in a safe neighborhood and assured by my car's alarm system.

Lessons are sometimes learned the hard way. I get that & thank you, Universe! ;-)

 

I am asking for help getting my car window fixed and replacing my laptop.

I have received some help getting new textbooks.. 

Though if anyone does have these textbooks lying around and can donate them.. that could also be very helpful.

Oh my, definitely feels uncomfortable to ask for help in this way.. Though, I know deep inside, its the right thing to do.
