Broken Elbows Not Broken Dreams

Donation protected
Broken elbows, not broken dreams.

On April 23rd, I fell eight feet from a ladder onto a concrete floor, breaking both of my elbows . The left one shattered, and the right one broke into a few pieces, but they now both have shiny new olecranon plates (that piece on the back of your elbow).

My husband, Todd, was working a job in Seattle, so I was home alone with my 3 year old son. He was thrilled to ride in the big bus! (the ambulance :0). The pain was so severe that I spent three days and two nights in Tacoma General Hospital.

As most of you know, Todd and I are the co-founders of the brand new Feast Arts Center in Tacoma, WA.  We have poured our hearts and souls and finances into this business whose mission is  :a place to gather together, to take classes, to make art and to be part of a community. The guiding concept at Feast is the belief that community involvement enriches personal experience, that personal experience informs art making, and that art making strengthens communities.

We need help. Aside from the medical bills I will be unable to teach or work for a few months.  Every little bit helps.  Of course, we understand that not everyone is in a position to give so please know how much we appreciate all of your warmth and caring. Also, if you ever wanted to take a class, now is the time!

We love you all!
