REMEMBERING BROOKE STIENTJES HARRIS
We are still trying to come to terms with the tragic loss of Brooke Harris, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have had Brooke in our lives knew her to be a thoughtful, kind, gentle, nurturing, and compassionate person. More than anything, she loved being with her family – daughters Jadyn (18) and Alexa (16), her husband, Manny, and their dogs, large and small. She was a loving and cherished daughter to her parents, Jay and Sherryl Stientjes, and an integral part of the extended Harris-Stientjes family.
Brooke was passionate about dogs and became a foster “mom” to countless furry friends. She was particularly known for her work with pregnant or newly delivered mothers, newborns, and litters of puppies. Her FaceBook page often featured the adorable faces of the many dogs and puppies that she nurtured and cared for, preparing them for their new lives. She gave her gifts of love and kindness to both the dogs and the hundreds of families who adopted them.
Brooke will be missed dearly for all the days to come. To honor her devotion to her family and to fostering rescue dogs, we ask that, in lieu of flowers or food, donations be made to the Brooke Harris Memorial Trust. The beneficiaries of this managed fund will be Jadyn and Alexa Harris, for their education, health and well-being, and also the Foothill Dog Rescue of the Sierras.
The family wishes to thank all of you who have supported them with kind deeds and thoughts during this unfathomable time.
If you prefer to donate with a check, please make it out to the Brooke Harris Memorial Trust and send it to Blair Stientjes, 125 Rock Oak Court, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
