Hi, everyone! My name is Alexandra Donovan and I am the sister of Shane Donovan. Shane is engaged to marry the most wonderful, sweet, strong, caring woman in the world, Brooke Humphrey.
On Saturday, August 29, 2020, Brooke was in an accident that broke her neck. She was taken to the hospital and airlifted from Cape Fear Valley to Chapel Hill for emergency surgery on her neck and spine. She suffered from a collapsed lung as well and has been heavily sedated to let her body heal. Brooke is currently in the ICU, and is going to need extensive therapy. This is going to be a long journey of recovery and the medical expenses should be the least of the family's worries as we all continue to support Brooke in her rehabilitation.
