Brooke is competing in Gymnastics in Sweden

Brooke has been offered the opportunity to compete as a gymnast in my home country in Sweden! Brooke will be heading to Sweden to compete in the Swedish National Junior Gymnastics Championship!

Brooke started at the age of 2 in dance. Ballet, Tap, and Jazz. At the age of 6 1/2 she saw the GA gym dawgs compete on tv and she wanted nothing else but to try out for gymnastics. All summer she trained the skills she needed and she earned her spot on the competitive team.

Gymnastics has taught Brooke many life skills. It has given her lifelong friends! Been learning to endure Long hours of training. It has taught her to be tough and push through pain, soreness, injury, and defeat. It has taught her time management. Inside and outside gym; as she does gym in the mornings, and school in the afternoons, she sometimes does reading in the car to and from the gym. She eats lunch in the car on the way home from the gym, so she can start school work soon as she gets home. She gets to wear Comfy sparkly leotards, and slicked-back hair in a bun with big bows!

Gymnastics has also taught her about balance and passion and about keeping your face even if you just fell off the beam in a competition. But the joy and accomplishment when you take 1st place AA at the State Championships and 3rd Place AA at Regionals (2021) has taught her about commitment! How you might have to work harder at the things that don’t come easy to you!

At the end of the day, she struggles, she rises to the task, she gets hurt, she overcomes, she time manages, she lives, and she loves! Gymnastics teaches her physical strength, but it also teaches mental strength. She LIVES for and LOVES GYMNASTICS!

In the fall of 2021, our family made a big change and moved states so Brooke could train in gymnastics with a coach that believes in her and a coach that she trusts wholeheartedly. This journey is just the beginning, but the first step is to go to my home country in Sweden!

The competition is from June 27 to 29, 2023. We would sincerely appreciate any help with covering the expenses of this amazing opportunity! Any amount donated would be much appreciated.

Expenses include: Travel to, and from Sweden and within Sweden, Lodging, Food, Training, and Competition Fees.
