Brooke Seifert's Medical Bills

11/7/2023

Brooke is hoping to leave the hospital today or tomorrow when she gets the doctors clearance. Testing showed she does not have any broken bones other than the 3 ribs. However, she has multiple tears in ligaments and tendons in her legs, abdominal area, and buttock area. She is now able to use the bathroom on her own, but still unable to walk. She will be going home in a wheelchair when she is released. She will need at minimum 6 weeks of rest and recovery and possibly more. After leaving the hospital she will be sent to a rehab facility to regain mobility and work on her drop foot also incurred because of the accident. We appreciate all the calls, texts, and messages of support. They truly couldn't get through this without the help of the awesome friends and family they have! They appreciate the continued prayers for healing. I will continue to keep this page updated as I learn more. Again, thank you all!

Hi, My name is Angela Albrecht and I'm Brooke Seifert's sister-in-law. As many of you know Brooke was in a freak accident and fell climbing out of her tree stand on Thursday November 2nd. We are so very lucky that Weston (our nephew) was with and was able to call for help as Brooke was in shock and unable to move or speak. She was airlifted to Mayo hospital in Eau Claire where she has undergone multiple testing, MRIs, ect. She has 3 broken ribs and has tore all ligaments and tendons in both legs in her groin area. Today 11/5 she took a turn for the worst. She does not have sensation in her pelvic area, cannot stand or walk on her own, and cannot go to the bathroom on her own. They are doing another pelvic x-ray this afternoon to see if she might have shattered anything there.

Brooke will have a long road to recovery. It may be weeks to months along with rehab after she is released from the hospital. There are still a lot of unknowns and we will keep everyone updated as we learn more.

I'm asking for any financial help you can provide the family (Matt, Brooke, Weston, Rylee, and Easton) in this difficult time. This will be used to pay for medical bills, gas going back and forth to the hospital, lost wages, and every day bills that will continue to add up. Brooke is a fighter and she will get through this! Lets show her and her family support and love during this difficult time. Thank you all for the continued prayers, calls, texts, and messages! They truly appreciate it!!

With love,

Angela
