Brookelle's Battle with Rhabdomyosarcoma

Hello friends! If you're reading this, it's likely you know the beautiful and amazing Brookelle McMullin or someone else that loves her. This young lady and her family need your help and support very much.

About a month ago, Brookelle went into Albany Medical Center for a biopsy on a swollen lymph node in her neck. What we expected to be a routine biopsy, turned into our worst nightmare.  Shortly after her surgery, the test results came back saying she had Statge 4 cancer called rhabdomyosarcoma, which is affecting her soft tissues.  More tests came and went and those results showed that the cancer had moved to her lymph nodes as well as several places in her bones.

We were lucky to immediately secure a wonderful team of doctors at Albany Med, who built an aggressive but hopeful treatment plan. Brookelle starts chemotherapy on October 20, which will continue for 42 weeks. About halfway through the chemo treatment, Brookelle and her mom, Zoey will travel to Boston or NYC where they will stay for several week to months depending on Brookelle's needs.

Let me tell you a little about this ray of sunshine. Brookelle is the oldest of 5 daughters in her family. She is a very talented artist and often spends her time drawing and building other amazing  creations. She is a compassionate lover of all animals but is deeply connected to wolves. Last but certainly not least, she loves spending time, playing and teaching her younger sisters and has a deep bond with each of them.  Brookelle will have to leave her sisters to continue her treatment, while she travels to receive radiation and they will remain here with their Dad.

The needs of this family are many. Love and prayers are forefront in our minds and hearts and desperately wanted. If it is in your heart to help another way- whether it be an encouraging note, a coffee  or gift dropped off with a hug, a meal to feed them for a night or anything else, we will be grateful for any love that comes their way.  The financial burden of this tragedy is heavy but we are honored and humbled by the love and support already pouring into Brookelle and the entire family.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Stand with us as we support Brookelle in her fight against cancer!
