Brooklyn Half-Our Mom-Stroke Awareness Healing

Donation protected
On August 22nd, 2021 our beautiful and incredible mom Jackie suffered an Ischemic Stroke early Sunday morning. We were told that this is the worst type of stroke someone can suffer through.

Our mom made it through the surgery, but the outcome was unlike anything we ever expected. Mom is a fighter and she always has been. Mom is relentless and unstoppable, regardless of the circumstances. The road has been incredibly challenging to say the least, but because of our family and friends, we have gotten through the last 6 or so months together surrounded by love and support.

Day in and day out she fights through intense physical therapy from her bed with the support of family and friends around her. Mom is never alone. She is constantly reminded of the strength she has and the future she can work towards.

For our mom, intense therapy is the road. For the future, we can do our part by raising awareness and money to donate to the different rehabilitation centers that can constantly use our help.

My mom lives full time at her rehab center and it is where I plan to donate the money that we raise.

Sarah and I plan to run the Brooklyn Half Marathon in April and wanted to use this as a way to help raise the money. All fundraising will be donated to her rehabilitation center.
